During the last one year Sh. Rajender Sood took the initiative to bring all Mehdudias under oneachievements roof and called the first meeting on 25th May, 2008 at Shri Ram Mandir, Shimla and subsequently a number of meetings were held by him, he also took the initiative to hold 31000 recitations of Gayatri Jap in favour of Jatheri Devi at Shri Ram Mandir, Shimla from 1-10-2008 to 4-10-2008 and Bhandara on 5-10-2008 at the same venue for which invitations were sent to more than 200 families from not only Shimla but to all whose address were made available to him, this was jointly hosted by the Mehdudias of Shimla and participants from Chandigarh, Hoshiarpur etc. also attended the Bhandara, the function was a great success.

Simultaneously a need to expand and beautify the Jatheri Devi Temple, Sarai and Darvesh was discussed in almost all the meetings, so volunteer services were demanded to assess the position of land and building for which Sh. Jagmohan Sood, Sh. Naveen Sood, Sh. Rajeev Sood, Sh. Vipul Sood and Sh. Shyam Goel came forward. There first visit to Jatheri Devi Temple with respect to the job given to them was on 14th July, 2008. After assessing the position of land and building and discussions in the next meeting at Shimla a need to form a trust was felt and thus under the guidance of Sh. Rajender Sood Mehdudia Jatheri Sood Parivar Trust was formed and registered on the 18th December, 2008 under the Public Trust Act 1959 vide Registration No: 500/ 2008 with its Registered office: Oakley Estate, Ram Mandir Market, Shimla.

Rattan Singh has sold his 1/3 share of 00-06-63 land and S. Chain Singh has sold/ entered into sale agreement for 00-03-84 hectare of land.

To bring all Mehdudia’s under one roof and appraise them of the present position a Bhandara at Jatheri Devi Temple was given on the 25th January, 2009 by Sh. Jag Mohan Sood of Satvik Sweets, Lower Bazar, Shimla, this was attended by about 400 Mehdudias from far and near, apart from the local people of Bal Khalsa village.
